📚 How the Propagation Classifier Works

What does this tool do?

This AI-assisted tool summarizes visible site features and flags survey priorities. It intentionally does not produce numeric propagation parameters from a photograph.

Why does the environment matter?

A link across open farmland behaves completely differently from one through urban downtown. Buildings and trees add unpredictable losses called "clutter loss" — ranging from nearly zero (open field) to 20–35 dB (dense urban).

How to use it

  1. Upload a site photo (looking toward the remote end, or a drone view)
  2. Select frequency and antenna height
  3. Optionally add a location hint for better accuracy
  4. Click "Classify Environment"
