Everything You Need to
Plan a Wireless Link

From GPS coordinate lookup to full path profile analysis — LinkZoneTools brings professional RF engineering tools to your browser, no software installation required.

GPS & Satellite Map Tool

Enter GPS coordinates for any two locations on Earth and visualize them on an interactive satellite map. View link paths, terrain, and site relationships instantly.

Included

Path Profile & Line of Sight

Generate a complete terrain path profile between two GPS points. Identify obstructions, determine antenna height requirements, and verify line-of-sight clearance.

Pro

Fresnel Zone Calculator

Calculate the first Fresnel zone radius at any point along a link path for any frequency band. Ensure adequate clearance for reliable, interference-free transmission.

Pro

Free Space Path Loss (FSPL)

Compute free space path loss for any frequency and link distance using the standard ITU-R formula. Essential for link budget planning and system design.

Included

ITU Rain Zone Lookup

Input any GPS coordinate on Earth and instantly retrieve the correct ITU rain zone designation (A through Q) along with the corresponding rainfall rate in mm/hr.

Included

Link Budget Calculator

Combine EIRP, FSPL, cable losses, antenna gain, and receiver sensitivity into a complete end-to-end link budget. Determine fade margin and system reliability.

Pro

Wireless Link Calculator

All-in-one wireless product link calculation tool. Input your equipment specs and distances to determine signal levels, data rates, and link feasibility at a glance.

Pro

Unit & Frequency Converter

Quickly convert between dBm and watts, feet and meters, miles and kilometers, GHz and MHz. Antenna beamwidth and wavelength calculations also included.

Built on Proven Standards

Every calculation in LinkZoneTools follows published ITU-R recommendations. Here's what powers the math:

ITU-R P.838

Rain attenuation model used in our rain zone lookup and link reliability calculations. Maps any GPS coordinate to a specific rain zone (A–Q) with corresponding rainfall intensity in mm/hr.

ITU-R P.525

Free Space Path Loss formula: FSPL (dB) = 20·log₁₀(d) + 20·log₁₀(f) + 92.45 (for km and GHz). Used in all link budget tools.

Fresnel Zone (Standard)

First Fresnel zone radius: r₁ = 17.3·√(d₁·d₂ / f·d) where d₁, d₂ are distances from each end in km, f is frequency in GHz, and d is total path length in km.
